Day 01 | Arrival Denpasar – Candidasa |
Arrive this afternoon at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar where you will be greeted by our local guide.
A private transfer takes you to Candidasa in Karangasem, Bali’s eastern province.
Check in at your hotel in Candidasa where the remainder of today is at leisure.

Day 02 | Candidasa – Taman Ujung – Tirta Gangga – Candidasa |
After breakfast, explore the beautiful, less visited province of Karangasem
Start with a visit of Taman Ujung, the beautifully restored water palace, set in a pond and only reachable by bridge. Following this visit we bring you to Tirta Gangga. Meaning 'water of the Ganges' this sacred water palace was built in the early twentieth century by the last king of Karangasem. It boasts many decorative ponds and fountains, lush plant life and natural bathing pools.
From here we go to Bali Asli where you will enjoy an authentic flavourful Balinese lunch.
Return to your hotel in Candidasa late this afternoon.

After lunch you have the choice between 2 options:
Have a relaxing afternoon on the tropical beach close to Candidasa Pasir Putih where we arrange a sunbed and a fresh coconut drink for you.
Day 03 | Candidasa – Sidemen – Besakih – Ubud |
This morning after breakfast and check out we start with the “Balinese daily life” program for you to discover. When we arrive in the village you are introduced to the local Balinese and are given a conical hat and a bamboo stick. This comes in handy on your 1h walk through rice fields which you will do next. Next it is time to explore your skills as a Balinese farmer, try ploughing with cows, planting rice... after this hard work you are served afresh coconut with its juice.
Now we do 3 short workshops, 20 min. each: cooking lesson, offering and palm-leaf decoration, arak distillation and iron working.
A true Balinese lunch is served in the village.
Continue to Besakih, known as the ‘Mother Temple’ of Bali. Located on the western slopes of Mt Agung, Bali highest volcano (2567 m), Besakih is the largest and most important temple on the island and is regularly visited by all Balinese for special ceremonies.
At the end of the day, transfer to Ubud for check-in.

Day 04 | Ubud – Arma – Ubud Palace – Balinese Massage |
Spend this morning discovering the many charms of Ubud as you visit museums, palaces and local markets. Start with a visit to ARMA Museum (Agung Rai Museum of Art) and enjoy one of the best permanent collections of Balinese and Indonesian paintings. A visit to ARMA provides a great overview of the island’s rich artistic traditions. Of course we will also make a stop at the Monkey forest to watch its cheeky inhabitants fool around.
Continue to Ubud’s Royal Palace in the heart of the small town: built in the 16th century the Palace is still home to Ubud’s King and its Royal family
Finish this morning’s excursion with a walk in Ubud Market where local vendors come to buy and sell food as well as handicrafts and textiles.
Lunch will be served at Indus Restaurant, one of Ubud’s top tables, with breathtaking views over the Tjampuhan river valley.
Relax this afternoon with a one-hour Balinese massage treatment at a local spa.
No visit to Bali would be complete without witnessing traditional dance and this evening you will be treated to a performance in a nearby village.
Return to Ubud for dinner at another great restaurant in Ubud, The Bridges.

Day 05 | Ubud – Batukaru – Jatiluwih – Lake Bratan – Lovina |
After breakfast at your hotel and check out your tour guide and driver will bring you first to the royal Taman Ayun temple in Mengwi. Famous for its multi-storied roofs and surrounded by a big fish pond.
Continue with a visit to Bali’s UNESCO listed Jatiluwih where you reach the widest panoramic view of Bali’s iconic rice terraces. Located on a slope near the holy mountain of Batukaru, this area is known as the rice granary of Bali and one of the best examples of subak style rice farming in Bali.
Here we go for a 1 hour walk through the rice fields after which we have lunch at a local restaurant.
This afternoon drive north to Lake Bratan where you will stop for a visit to the very scenic Ulun Danu Temple. The temple is set in the middle of the lake’s calm waters on a small bit of land giving the impression that it is floating.
Continue north, turning of the main road to a small mountain road overlooking two superb lakes: Buyan and Tamblingan. Stop for photos and to enjoy the scenery before descending to Lovina in Northern Bali.
Check in to your hotel and remainder of the day is free at leisure.
Dinner at leisure.

Ubud – Mengwi (17 km): 40 minutes
Mengwi – Jatiluwih (32 km): 1 hour
Jatiluwih – Lake Bratan – Ulun Danu (24 km): 50 minutes
Lake Bratan – Lake Buyan - Lake Tamblingan (12 km): 25 minutes
Lake Buyan & Tamblingan – Lovina (16 km): 30 minutes
Day 06 | Lovina – Belimbing – Tanah Lot – Beach in South Bali |
This morning and lunch are at leisure. After check out the tour guide and driver will pick you up for the drive to the south passing Belimbing and other small but beautiful villages along this scenic route.
The landscape alternates between jungle-covered mountain vistas and amazing rice terraces.
Late this afternoon arrive at Tanah Lot, Bali’s most famous temple. Set dramatically on a small island right in front of the coast, you’ll watch the sunset at this spectacular place.
Afterwards, you will be transferred to your beach hotel. This itinerary finishes between 18:30 – 19:30.

Belimbing - Tanah Lot Temple (40 km): 1 hour 20 minutes
Tanah Lot Temple – Ngurah Rai International Airport of Bali (28 km): 1 hour

Breakfast at hotel.
Transfer to airport for taking your flight back home..
