Day 01 Arrival Kuala Lumpur

Upon arriva at Kuala Lumpur, you will be transferred to your hoel stay.

Rest of the day at your leisure to discover Kuala Lumpur on your own. Kuala Lumpur is the capita of Malaysia. Over the years Kuala Lumpur grew into an important Asian city. Within Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur is seen as the center of the country. Tourists love the city as it has numerous great sights and attractions. Besides that there are simply too many choices when it comes to dining options. You can go shopping in one of the many modern shopping malls within the city centre.

Day 02 Kuala Lumpur

After breakfast proceed for Kuala Lumpur half day city tour.

Kuala Lumpur is a city of contrasts. While Malaysians are justly proud of their new structures, old buildings also appeal.Its architectural heritage includes Moorish styled edifices, stately colonial buildings and old shop houses as well as modern offices and condominiums towers overhead. The National Monument and National Mosque, constructed to honour the country's fallen heroes and other attractions to discover in Kuala Lumpur. Independence Square, here the national flag flies atop a 100m flagpole the tallest in the world. Opposite is the ornate Sultan Abdul Samad Building, built in 1897 with Morrish features, clock tower and copper domes. Beautifully illuminated at night, this well-known landmark in KL was formerly the Secretariat building for British administration. It is now the venue of the Supreme and High Court. Stop at the old and at the newly built Royal Palace. It is interesting to compare the style of the two palaces. Finally go for a photo stop at the Twin Towers, the icon of Kuala Lumpur, which is 452 meters of height (88 floors) and is one of the tallest in the world. After the tour back to the hotel, rest of the day free for leisure.

Day 03 Kuala Lumpur ~ Malacca ~ Kuala Lumpur

After breakfast proceed for a city tour in Malacca, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations within Malaysia. It is a small, friendly city with many eye-catching sights and attractive modern buildings. You will follow the routes of the long and rich history of the town. Visit Bukit China, Porta de Santiago, St.Paul's Church, Stadhuys Building, Christchurch, Cheng Hoon Teng Temple and have a walk on Jonker street. Visit the Portugese settlement where you will have the possibility to try the interesting mixture of the Portugese and local cuisine. After the tour transfer to Kuala Lumpur where you will have the rest of the evening to explore the vibrant capitol of Malaysia.

Day 04 Kuala Lumpur - Batu Caves - Taman Negara

After early breakfast transfer to Kuala Lumpur Tembeling Jetty for the longboat ride to Taman Negara. Taman Negara is the oldest primary rainforest in the world and a must see when you are in the Peninsular Malaysia. You will stay in a lodge in the jungle to observe the wildlife and enjoy the nature. On the way we will also stop at the Batu Caves. Theses limetone Hindu temples are built in the cave, which is about 400 meters deep and 100 metres high. Via a stairway of 272 steps you arrive at the entrance of the cave.It is a beautiful sight from the inside especially when sunlight comes in from the roof of the cave, but maybe even more, when you look at the city of Kuala Lumpur from that spot. Upon arrival at Kuala Tembeling, you will go fora 3 hour long boat journey to your resort. In the evening proceed for the night jungle walk. The night walk is a good way to experience night life in the rainforest when the nocturnal animals come out to feed. It's not an activity to see big animals but rather small ones like insects, spiders, scorpions, snakes and many others. The walk starts at an entry point into the jungle where the Mutiara Resort boundary ends. A guides takes you into the jungle and will try to find as much nocturnal animals as he can. The night walk ends with a visit to the Tahan Hide which faces a natural salt lick. Animals normally come out at night to take a sip at salt licks.

Day 05 Taman Negara

Today you will have a full day in the national park. Let your spirit of adveture tak you to a new heights and walk on the canopy, which is located on the top layer of vegetation in the forest. The 45 meters high and 510 meters long walkway is the longest canopy walk in the world. The forest canopy allows you to view the rich and diverse flora and fauna at the very summit of the forest. You will also visit the Orang Asli, the lcoal natives, who are gentle folk leading a nomadic lifestyle in Taman Negara. They are called Batek and their settlements are found along the trails. We stop to see how they make fire in a traditional way and try their hunting weapon - blow pipe.

After lunch break, you will go to Lata Berkoh. Lata Berkoh is a spectacular cascade that marks the limit of easy navigability on the river. There are deep pools below the cascade, where you can swim. Just relax and enjoy the rapids from the rocky area while having your picnic lunch. The journey to Lata Berkoh takes about one hour depending on the river level. The river is in many places lined with huge, leaning Neram trees, forming an archway over the water, their trunks and branches festooned with ferns and orchids. The boat stops about 500m away from the cascade. Then you need to walk through easy walking path along the river bank to the cascade.

Day 06 Taman Negara ~ Cameron Highlands

After breakfast, depart for your journey to Cameron Highland. The Cameron Highlands is a highland situated at about 150km North of Kuala Lumpur, and about 20 km east of the city Ipoh. Because of its high location, it is cooler (aboutn 25 °C, but sometimes below 20°C) than the rest of Malaysia. Cameron Highlands is known for its jungle trails, tea plantations, vegetable and strawberry farms. Upon arrival in Cameron highlands, enjoy the stunning view, colder weather and rest of the day free on your own activities. In past times English colonists settled at Cameron Highlands mainly because the climate resembled the Englsih climate better. Because of this, hotels around Cameron Highlands often have colonial characteriestics.

Day 07 Cameron Highlands

After breakfast visit the tea plantations and a tea factory. Enjoy your tea and the cool breeze of the highlands. Sungai Palas BOH Tea Estate is the most common tea plantation to visit. It is a must see when you are at Cameron Highlands! The massive tea plantation stretches as far as the eyes can see. Everywhere you see tea bushes, all beautifully green. If you are lucky, you can see the workers plucking the young tea leafs. Stop at a strawberry farm and a vegetable market. When you arrive at the market, you will see a whole area with just fruit and vegetable stalls. As you walk along the market, fruit and vegetables sellers will called out to promote their goods. On the market, you can also buy the famous and delicious strawberries of Cameron Highland. The rest of the day is free on your own activities.

Day 08 Cameron Highlands ~ Penang

Enjoy morning set off to Penang. Enroute visit a basket-making stall, the Lata Iskandar Waterfall and a native settlement. In th surrounding area of the Cameron Highlands there are large number of Orang Asli villages, where you can see the original inhabitants of Malaysia in their authentic community. When you visit them, you can try the blowpipe and get to know more about their tools, food, musical instruments etc. We continue to the Sam Poh Tong cave temple.

Thereafter stop at teh Royal town of Kuala Kangsar for a spell of photographing of the exterior view only of Ubudiah Mosque, Iskandariah Palace and Istana Kenangan. Proceed further to Kuala Sepetang mangrove forest, the best-managed mangrove forest in Malaysia and one that serves a very important ecological role in protecting the coastline from erosion. Delight in the novelty of walking through natural mangrove forest on a boardwalk. Kuala Sepetang produces the bulk of the nation's top quality mangrove charcoal. Visit a charcoal klin where charcoals are produced. Cross over to Penang, better known as the "Pearl of the Orient" via one of the longest bridge in the world. In the evening visit to a food court to taste the delicacies of Penang.

Day 09 Penang

After breakfast depart for a City, Culture and Heritage tour of Georgetown, which has been official declared as a UNESCO SITE in 2008. Visit the 3rd longest reclining Buddha figure in the world followed by Kek Lok Si Temple, also known as Temple of 1000 Buddhas that wss built in 1904, with the enormous statue of the goddess of Mercy, Kuan Yin and a stunning view over the capitol, George Town. It is the most beautiful and largest Buddhist temple complex in Southeast Asia. Next we stop at Fort Cornwallis, the landing site of Captain Francis Light in 1786 when he arrived to start the first British colony in Penang.

The tour continues on with a visit to the water village of the Clan Jetties at Weld Quay, so named as residents of each jetty share similar surname. We next take you along Pitt Street, also known as "The Street of Harmony". Here churches, Chinese temples, mosques and Hindu temples are built along the same street in harmonious existence side by side for centuries. Visit the intricate Khoo Kong Si clan's house. Return to the hotel and the rest of the day is free at leisure.

You may further extend your stay in Penang for beach holiday. The beach in Batu Ferringhi consists a long stretch of soft, white sandy beach along a winding road named Jalan Batu Ferringhi, filled with a host of accommodation and dining options. The night market on this street is quite legendary, while its waters are popular spots for a range of water sports activities such as parasailing and windsurfing.

Day 10 Penang Departure

Breakfast at hotel. Free time at leisure till departure transfer to Penang.
