On arrival at the Yangon airport, you will have a VIP welcome by your tour guide, who will assist you through all the immigration procedures. Transfer to your hotel for check in and a chance to freshen up and relax

Our recommendation: Depending on your arrival time, we recommend having lunch at Monsoon restaurant for delicious, freshly prepared Myanmar cuisine.
You will visit the colonial city centre, with its many cultural delights. Travel past faded colonial buildings, busy street markets, and glittering temples. Stop by a local tea shop to imbibe in the local life and customs and of Yangon.
End your tour at the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda 雪達根大金塔 the most revered Buddhist temple in Myanmar. Although the origins of the pagoda are unclear, the local legend states that the original structure was built 2500 years ago then renovated several times until taking its current shape in the 15th century. The 8-sided central stupa is 99 meters tall and gilded with gold leaf and is surrounded by 64 smaller stupas and your guide will show you around the massive complex, explaining why this temple is so revered. Enjoy breathtaking views of the golden stupa from this vantage point.

Day 02 | Yangon 仰光 |
This morning get a taste of local life with a ride on Yangon’s Circle Train. Transfer to the Railway station with your guide and board the local circular train which loops through the outskirts of the city. The slow-traveling train gives you the unique opportunity to observe the colorful life of rural Myanmar. After 45 minutes, disembark at Insein market where vendors gather daily to sell a wide range of items, both food and dry goods. Enjoy exploring the market and meeting the friendly locals before returning by road to Yangon.
Next, explore the colorful countryside surrounding the busy city of Yangon. Travel by ferry across the Yangon River to the town of Dhala where a trishaw ride exposes the natural beauty and local customs of this rural town. Although close to Yangon, the pace of life is dramatically different. Stop at the local monastery to learn about the cultural and spiritual beliefs of the Burmese before returning to Yangon at midday. The Strand Hotel is located across from the Pandsodan Jetty.

Today is at your leisure for additional sightseeing or shopping before transferring to the airport for your onward flight.
